Default Changing primary to standby not working for me

Greetings-

I'm doing some failover testing, and found that the "Change primary instance to standby instance" feature doesn't work (for me, at least).

When I try to do the swap via BAS, the primary switches to Standby, but the Standby server stays in standby mode, and they both are listed in "Running - Failover pending" mode, and the standby server reports that it can't connect to the primary:
The standby BlackBerry Enterprise Server cannot connect to the computer hosting the primary BlackBerry Enterprise Server
They both sit there in Standby mode for a few minutes, and then the Primary re-asserts itself as the Primary again (which is good, technically).

Scanning the BES alert logs on both servers shows that they're having problems connecting to each other, but they're both on the same network, subnet, and even the same rack. Not sure what to do....

Can you do the failover successfully using the BlackBerry Server Configuration tool on the server? Do you have firewall enabled on the BES nodes?

Working as intended. You can make both instances of the BES standby instances.
Try using the Manual Failover instead. Your primary will become standby and your standby will become primary.

i use the BlackBerry Administration Service for management my bes version is 5.0.1.58 also which firewall ? i don't understand..
