Hello,

I upgraded our server from 5.0.1 MR3 to 5.0.2 (SP2) today (for exchange 2003).

Upgrade all went well, no errors or alarms and test messages all seem to be working fine from server to devices etc etc.

However I'm now unable to login to the administration console (service) with my active directory credentials (or any other). It fails with IE8 and Firefox 3.6.8

I get a flat "The username, password, or domain is not correct. Please correct the entry."

every variation of the BESadmin account username and password fail too.

since it's not locking my AD account it seems like the query from the BES to the AD is failing for some reason?

All BB services appear to have started successfully.

Windows Event log is showing the following error after each login attempt:-

Closest I can find this this post referring to the un install of MS patch KB979683.

this patch was installed on my BES via WSUS update on 18/06/2010, however it's saying it cannot be un installed.

I think this solved it...

Did a manual check of the Java console for updates. Installed 1.6.0_21 as applicable and tried the login again it worked fine...

1.6.0_18 was installed via the upgrade process successfully and was the 'current' version until I perform the Java check & update.
