Default Stolen BB + New Activation

Please Login to Remove!

So we've had a BB stolen and I've sent the the erase command to the BB. However, it's been offline since yesterday so the chances of it actually receiving the command is slim to none. In the meantime, I've got another BB ready to go. If I go through the activation sequence on the new BB, is it going to wipe as soon as it's activated? Will the old phone eventually get wiped by the original wipe command? I do have a policy that will wipe the device after x number of hours of no IT Policy, so I'm not really that concerned about the contents - I'd just like to know what is supposed to happen in this scenario.

No.

The Kill Pill is queued on RIM's network for 7 days.
If the device gains an active data plan within that period, the wipe will occur.

In other words, the kill command is specific to the PIN, not the BB Account that was associated with it?

Thanks!
