Hi all. This seemed like the right place for this; apologies if it's not.

I'm doing some research for the office, and as noob as you can get. My understanding right now is that BPS was effectively discontinued at v.4.1, replaced by BESX (now 5.0).

I was told by tech support that BPS is no longer even available for download, but in fact I was able to download it here (can't link yet, not enough posts in the forums):

Which kind of lessens the credibility of the employee who told me this. All other information I've gotten is form discussion forums where people are discussing it as understood that it's no longer available, but nothing official.

So. Can anyone point me to an official Blackberry release on the discontinuation of the software, with what exactly can and cannot be done with it? (Or, what the status of BPS is, if otherwise?)

Most likely that is the service pack and not the full installer.

BPS is gone and BES Express 5 is here.

You can still run BPS and install it if you have the SRP for it.
T Support still supports it.
