Hi I am looking into getting BES certificate. To be more exact I am looking into getting BlackBerry Certified System Administrator BCP-420
I want to know what materials or what I need to study to do well on the test. I know there Element K stuff but i hear its not that great. I have already have 1 year experience. Doing blackberry Technical support for a service provider so I know the blackberry pretty well. Also wanna know if there BES simulator or something I can practice on so I can get familiar with it. Any useful advise would be greatly appreciated.

I bought the Element K combo with 420 and 620 and was not too impressed. I haven't looked much at the 620 book, but in the 420 I marked multiple errors. And the CD that came with it is just links to RIM's stuff such as PDFs and the sample test. The 620 CD had one very easy sample 3 question test and then links to RIM material.

Just study the install and admin guides, know the activation process, process flow through the various components, what components are core, optional, can be pooled etc. Also know the resource kit tools such as the transporter.

I used RIM's PDF's and read though a pile of documentation all from the BB website. I passed the exam last week. You might want to email RIM though. When I took the Exam it was written for 5.0.1 and not 5.0.2 in which a few answers will be different.

RIM doesn't tell us what passing is for their tests. I scheduled my bcp-221 today for next month, and have the elementk book and for this test, this book is pretty decent.
