BES Sync time
 

Hi, im new :smile:.
I have a question on the schedule of sync for BPS 4.1.

Emails come through immediately, in fact, the server running BPS is better spec than our exchange server.

If i read an item in Outlook, it takes approx. 4 minutes for the item to be marked as read on the device.

If i read an item on the device, it's immediately reflected in Outlook.

Does anyone know of the sync time, or how to increase sync?

It can't be changed.
Reconciliation from Desktop --> Handheld is given a lower priority than Handheld --> Desktop.
Reconciliation is performed in prioritized batches. Times may be extended based on current server load and other impacting factors.

4 minutes is pretty good. Usually it's upwards of about 15-20 minutes.

Read/unread flags and deletes are low priotity tasks on the BES.

The BB is a mobile device. When out of the office, does it matter how long it takes for that kind of sync to happen?
