Default Exporting - user details from BES - usernames

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I can export a list of users from my BES, 4.1.7, to text files. But would also like to export a list which shows them in username format, e.g. jsmith.

Is this possible? Or even email format: [email address]

In "Service Control & Customization" I can "Export Stats to File". This does provide a column with such detail in LDAP format (ou= cn=recipients, etc). Unfortunately some of the usernames are represented by a number.

Is your database on the BES (MSDE) or remote SQL?

And do you have access to it, so you can run a SQL report? I have a handful that I run and I can share the code with you. I use a tool called QueryExpress to run queries.

Cool, then you can just put the QueryExpress software (it's just a single file to run) right on the server and run queries against the local database.

Here is one that I use that give me user name and handheld information:

Code:
select
 DisplayName,
 ModelName,
 PhoneNumber,
 PIN,
 IMEI,
 AppsVer,
 PlatformVer,
 ITPolicyName,
 HomeNetwork,
 VendorID
from vHandheldSummaryInfo
order by DisplayName
Another that I run that gives user name, a little device info, and when their device was activated and last contacted the BES:

Code:
select
 a.DisplayName,
 c.ModelName,
 c.AppsVer,
 c.PhoneNumber,
 c.PIN,
 c.HomeNetwork,
 convert(varchar(10),a.CreationTime, 101)CreationDate,
 convert(varchar(10),a.ActivationTime, 101)ActivationDate,
 b.MsgsForwarded,
 b.MsgsSent,
 convert(varchar(10),b.LastFwdTime, 101)LastFwdDate,
 convert(varchar(10),b.LastSentTime, 101)LastSentDate
 from userconfig a, userstats b, vHandheldSummaryInfo c
 where a.id = b.userconfigid and a.displayname = c.displayname
 order by a.displayname

Thanks juwaack68. I downloaded and ran that. But I find I'm still getting the details in the "Surname, Firstname" format. Not username like "jsmith"?

Both of the scripts above provide 'DisplayName', so in our case it would show is Joe Smith.

How are you trying to use username?

You could export the file to Excel (as a .csv) then in Excel do some fancy footwork to create the jsmith name.
