Default Version Mismatch Issue

Hi There!

A week or so ago I upgraded our BES for GW from 4.1.6 to 4.1.7.

Unfortunately today we had a major system problem and had to restore the C: from our server back from a tape of before the upgrade to 4.1.7.

I have the SQL DB from at the time of the crash, but right now it seems the BES program is 4.1.6 and the DB is from the time of the restore.

I am trying to determine the best course of action. Should I;

Upgrade again and then copy the sql file from 10 minutes before the restore restart the services? If I do that, will there be any problems with the BB devices?

Could I just copy the entire program files directory and SQL DB file back from 10 minutes before the crash? Would that cause problems, I guess not all the files I need are in 1 directory so it's likely this wouldn't work..

Could someone please give me some advice on the best way to recover from this situation?

Upgrade BES to 4.1.7. Done.
(The database is already 4.1.7 and the installer will recognize that.)

What role does BES play in keeping the phone and server sync'd? IE if the DB is out of date, will it sync up and cause duplicates, or will it look at what's on the phone and correct any mishaps?
