Default gwsystemaddressbooksync.exe entry point not found

Please Login to Remove!

Hi There!

I have this coming up on one of my sites. I have upgraded and reinstalled the GW7 and 8 client and upgraded from 4.1.6 to 4.1.7 and it's still persisting. It comes up all the time on the server, or anytime I go into the address book list in the BES Manager.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

RIM's best practice guide is to uninstall old GW Client priot to re-install new one. Did you just perform an upgrade? If yes, uninstall and start a fresh re-install, not in-place upgrade.

From programming stand-point, the error "entry point not found" is usually assoicated with the program being not able to load certain DLL files used.

Since "GWSystemAddressbookSync.exe" is using the GroupWise client API calls to get the system contacts, I would suggest putting the GroupWise client program's working folder in the computer's Environment Variables -> System Variables -> Path and try again.

If the issue persists, you can increase the debug log level for the BlackBerry Manager (MNGR) to '6' and examine its log to see what actually happened.

The registry hive to look at is shown below... and the key I think is Manager. Finally locate DWORD DebugLogLevel.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Research In Motion\Blackberry Enterprise Server\Logging Info
