Default BES Policy changing Enterprise Activation Password length

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all. I just created a new BES policy to enforce passwords on our devices. I have enabled "Minimum Password Length" and set it to 5. Which to me this means the new password on the device the length is to be 5. This is fine. Now when we generate a new activation password to a user that has this new policy applied, the password is 5 characters as well instead of the normal 10 character password we get from those users that do not have this policy enabled. Any reason why this minimum password length policy affects the enterprise activation password? Is there a way to have the enterprise password back to 10 and set the min password length for device password to 5? Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks

What version of BES do you have and what environment?

I've never heard of a minimum activation password length... we usually use 1-3 characters for those.

We are behind... LOL 4.0.7.16

Yea it is crazy. I enable the min password length password and reset my activation password and I get a 5 digit password. I disable this min password length and reset and get 10 digits.
