| Receiving email from outside sources (not BES Server) Please Login to Remove! Good afternoon/evening,
I have an interesting problem that I'm trying to solve. Let me give you my setup first:
I have an Exchange 2007 Server on one machine.
I have a BPS Server on another machine that hooked into my exchange server and distributing the exchange emails out to the hand helds.
I have 2 users (out of 20) that are receiving emails on their phones but not in their outlook (or exchange). I looked for a while through the users outlook (which thankfully wasn't as big as mine), and he's not getting the message in there.
Now, when I look at the handheld and at the suspect message, it does say "Received using: Unknown". Now all the legitimate email says "Received using: Desktop (Secure)". I thought he might have a BIS email account setup, however it is not (well the login to the page isn't enabled). Now the nature of these emails is suspect as they claim to come from facebook, but they are coming from a hotmail address.
So my questions(s) are:
Is it possible to spam a handheld devices through a service address?
Is the handheld infected with something?
I don't have this issue with any of the other users and it is possible that these 2 would have click on a phishing email if it hit them.
Any input would be appreciated.
