Default Moving from Exch2003 to Exch2010

Please Login to Remove!

We have a client that presently at Exchange Server 2003 and BES 4.1. We have built their new Exchange 2010 server and the new BES 5.x server.

We are moving all the mailboxes to the new Exch2010 server this weekend, then adding all the old BB users to the new BES 5.x server.

Has anyone had any issues with this? The new BES server is working with the new Exch 2010 server. I have created a user on the old 2003 server, moved their mailbox to 2010 server, then added them to new BB server. so far so good.

you want to move them to BES 5 first with transporter and then move to 2010.

BES 4.x does not support exchange 2010 and you will have lots of errors in your logs.

Hi Knotty,

Does this Transporter Tool come as part of BES 5 installation files?
We also have Exchange 2003 SP2 mailboxes with BES 4.1 user accounts.
We have now installed Exchange 2010 into the environment and I will be installing and configuring BES 5.0.2 next week.
Is there a guide on how to install the Transporter tool and how to migrate the BES user accounts using the tool?

Thanks in advance
Jay
