Unhappy Can't Log Into BES 5.0 After Patches

Please Login to Remove!

I installed about a years worth of patches on our BES 5.0 server. Afterwards I have not been able to log on to the application. Before patching I logged on with the BESAdmin account. For some reason my account would not work. Now none of the accounts seem to work. This is all using AD authentication as well. So that leads me to believe that maybe the BES server isn't talking to AD. I rebooted the server a few times after I installed the patch. On the BES server we have SQL 2005 but I can't find the Admin tool where I might be able to change the password. Honestly, I am not skilled in SQL so if I need to do something with that then I will probably need a bit of explanation on how to do it.

Thanks in advance.

It is possible to reset the password of the besadmin account stored in the sql database.
You need the M$ sql studio express, and a password hash where you know the password of another BES server.
You could get a copy of BES express, install that on a vm, then copy the password hash from the bas users table, and, paste it in the other servers password table field.
The table is dbo.BASUsers.
There you should find a field for the password hash.
Maybe, restart the machine where the bes is running after changing the database.
The again try to login.

If this is really the problem it will not hurt to do this procedure. At least you then know, you have the correct password.
