Exclamation Intranet Access Problems

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I have gone through this forum but am struggling to find an answer to my problem that works...

I am using BES 4.1.7 for Domino and have BB's running OS5 connected. I need these devices to be able to view certain intranet servers as well as get onto the web. So, I have edited the MDS settings and created a new Proxy Mapping with the following settings:

Universal Resource Locator: http://intranetserver
Proxy String: DIRECT

I have then restarted MDS and tried to connect to http://intranetserver but I always get directed through the proxy server (Websense V10000) and the error 'HTTP Error 504: Gateway Timeout'.

The strange this is that when I put the IP address in it works so thought it was a DNS issue on the BES server but that can resolve the address no problems.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Pete.

PS - after double checking I can get to any intranet site by putting the IP address directly in so this proxy MDS setting is having no effect (!!??)

Try something like 'http://intranetserver/.*' or '.*://intranetserver/.*' as the URL, and ensure the rule is above your websense resource
