I wonder if anyone has any advice that can help me. I recently switched my Blackberry Bold 9700 from BIS (02 uk) to BES ( company server).
All works well except a connection to the Internet for browsing the web.
I called o2 and they told me it had nothing to do with them and the internet connection should come through the BES server. Our IT guys are baffled too as this is the only blackberry on the server. My colleagues use iphone.
Does anyone have any suggestions where the issue lies and how to resolve?

Is their an IT policy on the device that would limit it? Did you talk to the BES Admin?

Try a battery pull on the BB and resend service books.

can the BES server surf the internet?
Do you use a proxy on your LAN?

Thank you for the quick replies. I am looking therough the FAQ's now. I did have the service books resent ( BIS) but that didnt make a difference.
I dont know if a BES server can surf the internet. I only got the issue when I switched from BIS to BES so just assuming it has something to do with that.
At work we have a proxy , on the road vpn, if I understood you correctly.

maybe try changing the default browser for now then

if that dont work, then BES is blocking you and it needs to be setup to access the internet via your proxy.
