Default "Messages" on handheld includes everything?

Sorry - the title of this thread probably didn't make much sense.

Absolute basics, we are running a BES 4 Server with an Exchange 2000 Server.
We have numerous Blackberry devices out in the field and all are generally working OK.
"Inbox" & "Sent Items" are syncronising fine etc.

Recently we had some users who required more folders to be sent to their Blackberry and we managed to fix this under the "Redirection" features.
Instead of the two default folders we just checked all of the folders that the user wanted access to when using his Blackberry.

I've just noticed another "issue" on a 7290 that I'm using to test.
Currently the folders "Inbox", "Sent Items", "Passwords" and "Work" are all set to syncronise between Exchange and Blackberry.
This is working absolutely fine and any message that ends up in one of those folders makes it to the Blackberry.
The problem is, no matter which folder the message should be in, it appears under the root level "Messages".

Example:

User has a message sent to him and due to a rule on the Exchange server the message is received and then automatically moved to a folder called "Passwords".
A few seconds later that message appears on the Blackberry.
However it appears under "Messages" as well as the "Passwords" folder.
I'm assuming this is so the user knows he has a new message because you cannot display a folder list on the Blackberry.
However it looks extremely messy - is there any way of turning this off?

Another example.
User sends a new message from his Outlook and that is moved to his "Sent Items" folder.
This message doesn't just end up in "Sent Items" on his Blackberry - it also appears under the root level "Messages".
This just seems to confuse some of the users.
Ideally we'd like it so that a message only appears in the same folder on the Blackberry as it does on the Exchange server - is this possible?

I hope the above makes sense - it is one of those issues I can explain but am having difficulty putting into words.

Try changing Hide Filed Messages to Yes. It is found under Messages > Options > General Options.

The only way i think you can to this is by getting the user to view his inbox rather than his messages. All incoming messages appear in the default view as far as i can tell. Pretty sure this is by design as blackberries arent meant to be a mobile version of outlook or notes.

If i am wrong, i would severly love to know how i can get around this as there are many users in my company who would love this...
