Default Quick BESX quesion

I've finally got our BESX server at work running 100%. Took nearly 2 days working on it here and then and lots of head scratching and googling to resolve IEMStest issues with permissions but I got there :D

So question is, as I have to activate handsets wired, can I activate a handset without a sim in it? Reason I ask is a guy is getting a new Bold and he's not based in the office so I'd like to activate it and then he can pop his sim. Can I do that?

put in any sim card that has a BlackBerry dataplan in it, remove SIM before shipping.

it will work fine when user gets it.
