Default Mds Proxy Help Please

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

New to this forum so hi hi!!!

Looking for some help setting up MDS on our BES 4.1.

I hvae an MDS service running and i have figured out the proxy mapping bit witht the Catch all URL locater.

That works a treat it seems to push everyhting through our Webmarshal proxy server. However it didnt allow Intranet traffic through. So I set a new mapping with a DIRECT string and sett he URL to "//intranet.*" and placed it ahead of the catch all mapping in the list and it lets all intranet traffic trough. GREAT!!!!

Now the tricky bit.. we have apps hosted on local servers that we access through the browser.. they were working by putting the address in the browswer in the normal way i.e "//server_name_01/appname" but ever since implementing the proxy they dont.

New to proxy and mds so please be gentle.... need help pleeeeease

Cheers,
Dave.

Any HTTP error code returned to the BlackBerry when "they" don't work? That will be helpful.

Enable http and verbose logging for MDSCS and try to reproduce the error again. Next look at the latest MDAT log searching "404". Examine the related loglines surrounding it for any specific clues. Hope this helps.
