Default Blackberry Failover suggestions

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all,

We are going to be implementing blackberry failover here at our company and was wondering how you all have your failover setup. Which way is the easiest/best way to go? What way should we avoid? My initial thought was to setup two BES servers(with two seperate Domino servers), and if server A went down, I would transfer over the SQL database to Server B(along with the BES folder under c:\lotus\domino\data) and it would work, but Blackberry tells me that isn't possible and that you have to have the same Domino servers on each box. They also recommended that we setup a remote SQL Server and put the SQL database on there and have both BES's pointing to that, but I would need to justify the costs of doing this. Is that the route I should go? Just as a sidenote, we are on V4.0.3 and have roughly 100 users on our system. Thanks for any advice possible, I definately need it!

Thanks,
Chris
