Is anyone experiencing this same problem?

We are experiencing our BES crashing. We are running BES 4.0 (4.0.3.3 SP3, hot fix 3). We are experiencing this on BES that have approximately 50 users and BES that have approximately 350 users. The BES crashes every few days, it can not stay up a week. We are on a Lotus Domino environment -version 5.0.13a. We are agressively looking into this problem. RIM does not have a solution and I have heard other companies are experiencing this same problem.

I would get Domino upgraded to 6.5.4 server.

I am running 6.5.4 domino, BES 4.0 SPE hot fix 1, 200+ users, Never had any issues with it.
Beenrunning BB's & BES since there start and only ever had one failure.

i have the same setup as BBgod.

BES 4.0.2.3 - Lotus Notes 6.5.4 - 160+ users - never had a crash or any problems with the server.

Been running for about 2 years - Reboot every night.

Question: why do you reboot every night? do you automate this rebooting or is this done manually? I am wondering if I reboot every night if my crashing problem will not happen anymore...?

automated reboot and backup at 1am in the morning.

we only have BB users in NZ so this does not effect them.

Although, when i was oversea's earlier this year it was a pain when my BB was down at 3pm in the afternoon for a bit!

im not sure if it will fix your problem, it could. i mean if it crashes after 3 days all the time then you could try it untill you fix the problem?

Do you know of any pitfalls to performing daily automated reboots on BES?

not that i am aware of.. but others mite wants to contribute if they know of anything.

only problem i have found is if some of our users are overseas - the BES is down for a short time for them during the day.

but in saying that, they hardly are oversea's.

out of 160+ there is one user - but he is on holiday. so also depends on your bussiness too.

4.0 has been very stable for me, planning on upgrading to SP3 tomorrow so well see what happens. 2.2 was very unstable until I upped the memory from 2GB to 4GB.
