Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

i'm having big problem with user to activate them when they have outlook 2010 on their computer...... the stupid outlook think the message is a SPAM and put it in junk mail.

even if i disable it i have difficulty to activate blackberry .. the mail stay in the INOBX.

i saw someone already had problem but he didn't give extra information on how to resolve it. here is the topic :

if someone can help i will apreciate.

the only way i was able to activate is using desktop manager which is not a solution or delete the user and re create it ... i lost all my morning on this problem and i can't have this problem anymore .... helpdesk will kill me if i don't have a solution

Regards,
Flo

You need to add the entire *.blackberry.net domain to your anti-spam whitelist.
That message needs to arrive in the user's inbox unharmed.

If it arrives and just stays there, then there's a few reasons this could be happening.
The most likely reason is that the BESadmin service account does not have the proper permissions on the user's mailbox.
Or... something is happening to the message itself, or the etp.dat attachment, which is causing BES to ignore the email.

Check permissions first. RIM has a KB article detailing how to set up the permissions for the BES service account. You shouldn't have any trouble finding if you search their knowledgebase.

Hi,

Permissions are OK i double checked them.

regarding the filter i tried with @*.blackberry.net didn't work maybe with *blackberry.net it will work.

all my other user are activating perfectly since 9 month .... and with outlook 2007 it's OK just did one right now which have outlook 2007

i will continue to check the addins as spoked in the link i put in my first post.

You should go to SP2 for BES 5. This has a new feature that also looks in your Junk folder for activation emails.

From the SP2 Release notes:

Quote:
The BlackBerry Enterprise Server includes the following enhancements to activation:
The BlackBerry Messaging Agent now monitors the Junk folder as well as the Inbox for activation messages.
You can now configure the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to prepopulate a maximum count of 3000 email messages and a maximum message age of 30 days.
Also, don't forget to install MR3 + the PDF security fix after the SP installation.
