Default Attachments only appear in 'get plain text' mode

Please Login to Remove!

Recently a strange problem has been reported by a number of users (including myself).
Attachments (both XLS and PDF) that show up in Outlook do not appear in the message on the Blackberry. This seems random, because some XLS and PDFs DO show up as expected.
If I choose 'get plain text' on the message, the attachment appears and can be viewed on the Blackberry.
Any ideas?

BES 4.1.6.14.
Exchange 2003.
Seems to only be happening on 5.x and 6.x devices.

do this first.

KB13589-How to update the "device.xml" and "vendor.xml" files

Then restart the attachment service on BES and try again.

Also might want to look into upgrading to SP7 and MR3

That didn't work.
We purchased 5.0 recently. Just haven't had the opportunity to implement it yet.
I guess that'll be our next step.
Thanks.
