Default Syncing problems with calendar on BES Express

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

We recently set up a Blackberry Enterprise Express server and have been migrating all of our users over to it. We are running Exchange 2010.

We have a single user who has been having some synchronization issues. I was able to sit down with her phone and verify them.

She has a Blackberry 8330 device, running OS 4.5.0.191.

She is having two issues: deleting an email on the desktop/Outlook does not delete the message on the phone, unless she chooses "reconcile" manually. This is a minor issue but annoying.

More importantly: certain events in her Outlook calendar do not appear on the Blackberry. At least one event was a recurring appointment that the user believes appeared on her phone at one point, but later disappeared. In the time that I was testing this I couldn't confirm. A second event was marked "private" (not sure if that's relevant or not). However, most events correctly sync, in both directions.

I couldn't find anything useful to my eyes in the BESX logs. I did notice this event appearing: [CFG] Controller won't generate userdump files. userdump.exe or cdb.exe were not found.

No other user has made any similar complaints; I am thinking the problem is isolated to this one phone, but it could just be that she is relying on her calendar more extensively than other users.

Normal message, you can ignore this.

Reconcile is slow and happens in batches, it can take up to 30 minutes.
