Something strange is happening.

I have BES Express 5.02 in an Exchange 2010 environment.

If I send an email to myself with attachments, they show up ok on my blackberry, but if I forward that message from my blackberry to another user, the attachments are removed.

Also, sometimes when I forward a message from my blackberry with attachments, I will get a red x on that message. When I open it, it tells me that it cannot find the original and if i am forwarding or replying to a message, to resend it. It then goes through but the attachments are gone.

Has anyone come across this?

@Zeeman: BES has to have a "link" between the message on Exchange and the message on you Blackberry. If you forward a message, BES is instructed to forward the message + attachment without the need to download it first to the device and then upload it again to Exchange.

If the "link" is somehow broken, or the message does not exist in Exchange anymore, it can't be forwarded. Please check the Messaging Agent and Attachment Service logs for errors/warnings to find out what's going wrong.

I found what was causing my issue.

The besadmin user had become part of the administrators (built-in) account and as a result, AD was removing the besadmin account from all users security.

Once I removed the administrator (built-in) account, all is well.
