2007 to 2010 Exchange Transition
I'm sure my searching is just failing me...
I am transitioning to Exchange 2010 from Exchange 2007. It will take me 30 days or so to move all of my mail users. During that time I need to have Blackberry users on both 2007 and 2010.
I have a single user on Exchange 2010 - just a standard "Domain User" test account. I am unable to activate a Blackberry for the test user.
The EPT file just sits in their mailbox.
MAPI/CDO version is consistent across all servers. All users on Exchange 2007 are working fine.
The question I have is - do I have to move my "BESAdmin" to Exchange 2010 before I move any other users? Or is there some additional permission that is required for them to access my 2010 users?
I prefer not to move BESAdmin right away if possible, since it will cause downtime and if it doesn't work right away my boss and end-users get grumpy....
Re: 2007 to 2010 Exchange Transition
Yes, you have to move the BESAdmin Account first. And there are some other tasks you have to complete. Please see the detailed instructions in the RIM KB article:
