Background
BAS in BES 5.0.2 and prior does not fully support proxy authentication; as a result when BAS tries to download the vendor.xml or device.xml, they cannot be updated properly and gets corrupted. This results other BES functions like application deployment via software configurations.

Then how?
BES 5.0.3 comes to the rescue, but not as simple as turning the tap and water flows. You need to configure for it.

Great source for that. But still on question, how to configure that the bb users have to authenticate themselves with the proxy when browsing with the MDS ?
(All RIM components on the same server)
