Thumbs down BB locks upon holstering but policy says not to

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,
I have set up BB security policy which says 'No' to 'Lock device upon holstering'. For most of our BB users it works fine but on my and another person's BB this doesn't work, which means every time I put it in a holster, it locks down straight away.
On my BB I have OS6 but the other colleague has older OS5. I know this worked in the past but for some reason it stopped and I cannot figure out what changed there.
Please advise if anyone has any idea how to get this fixed.
Thanks a lot,
Michal

Hi,
Yes, the security policy was applied to my BB but the option 'Lock device upon holstering' was still checked so I changed it manually.
Afterwards I re-submitted policy and the option stayed unchecked.
It is a bit strange but worked
Thanks a lot.

on you set it to more restrictive and then lessen it, the user has to remove the setting.

this is true on quite a few settings, like min password attepmts and time.

Try to test out all IT policy changes, some can be fun to understand.

Yes, you're right about removing those more restrictive settings. I thought it might be the case but it's good to have this confirmed by you.
Thanks so much for your help.
