Default Connecting the blackberry to BlackBerry Enterprise Server express using WIFI

Please Login to Remove!

I am setting up BlackBerry Enterprise Server express in my organization and want to test it. I have a blackberry but do not have it connected to any carrier for phone or data service. Since it supports WIFI, can I connected to the Internet using my home router and connect to the BES server that way for testing?

No, you can't.

Penguin 3107 is correct.

You will need a BES data plan from your wireless carrier to work with the BES server.

With BES Express you don't need a BES plan, you can connect with only a BIS plan. But if you only have a BIS plan the BlackBerry has to be activated by connecting to the BES Express server via USB, or to a PC that can connect to the BES via the network.
