Install BES Express without Router?
I'm trying to set up BES Express 5.0.3 with the Router in the DMZ. I've read the whitepaper on how to do this. What is confusing me is that the BES Express installation wizard shows the Router as part of the Core Components for BES. The Router option is greyed-out, which seems to indicate that I can't install a BES without also installing the Router component.

I don't want to have a "chained Router" config, so could someone advise on how to install BES Express without having the Router component co-located on the same server?

Re: Install BES Express without Router?
Found "How to move the BlackBerry Router Service to a remote server (KB13732)". Will give this a try.

Re: Install BES Express without Router?
The router service will still be installed on the main BES, you can't prevent that. But you can disable the router service on the main BES. On the DMZ box, only the Router and the Controller services will be installed. Don't forget to point the main BES to the router in DMZ and remove the pointer to localhost.

We have such an installation and it is working very well.

Merci vielmals!

We have it working now. Simply really. I wish the documentation had been more explicit.
