Faced an issue for the second time on my BES 5.0.2 MR 5, SQL 2005 (platform Exchange 2007, SP2).
When I restarted the BlackBerry Controller, Dispatcher and Router services (In the order as specified by RIM ie. stop in CDR order and start in RDC order), the BlackBerry MailStore service somehow got stuck in STARTING state. The reason for me re-starting the CDR services was that the Agents were missing hearbeats; a probelm which I have been facing quite often.
I waited for a good 10 min, but it did not seem to start. An OS reboot solved the issue. The server and services are up and running since then, but I failed to find the exact root cause of the problem.
Further going through the event viewer logs, I found the following error, which was possibly the cause of this issue:
MailStoreExchange::Initialize - Exception caught - Event ID 10000
Hope I'll find a solution here...thanks in advance...
