ATTN: Corporate Firewall Management Team/BlackBerry Enterprise Server Administrator

To ensure the best possible BlackBerry® experience we recommend ensuring your BlackBerry® Enterprise Server settings are up to date and follow our recommended configuration.

We have identified a possible configuration setting that may cause sporadic connectivity issues. If you use the US DNS of us.srp.blackberry.com and only allow certain IPs on your firewall, you may have already experienced or may experience intermittent connectivity issues. Some info has changed, look out on June 25th.

On June 25, 2011, the current IP addresses for the Americas region are scheduled to be removed from us.srp.blackberry.com, which will leave only the new IP addresses for the United States. The removed IP addresses will still support the srp.na.blackberry.com address pool.

The majority of BlackBerry Enterprise Server configuration settings, should not experience any impact as a result of this change. We have, however, identified a possible configuration setting that may cause sporadic connectivity issues.

and be prepared to change your servers back to srp.na.blackberry.com if they stop working.

srp.na.blackberry.com will continue to resolve to the prior addresses being dropped from the us name.

don't use na.srp.blackberry.com as they have it tweaked in DNS, its pointing to the eu addresses.
