I am planning to carry below activity with the same forest between two child domain. I a doing this beacuse we can not but new SRP ID to carry the migration using the transporter tool.

Please let me know your opnion this.

1. Database cutover from old child domain 1 to Child domain 2
2. Installation of BES standby sever child domain 2 for exisiting BES in child domain 1
3. Failover from child domain 1 to Child domain 2
4. Un installation of BES server in child domain 1
5. Installation of BES standby sever in child domain 2 and attch to Primary BES server in child domain 1
6. Service account switch over process from child domain 1 to child domain 2

test your theory with BES express first, if it works with it then you know it will work with full BES.

you can also use BES express as the middle man in your upgrade. move all to bes express and then make your new Full BES and move them to it.

Yes, I think I will use BES express to test this... or a trail BES full trail version.

trial can work if you have 20 or less users

or BES express will support 2000

install BES express and use transporter to move users to it.

then install Full BES (after removeing old one) and use transporter to move users to final place.

I belive I cannot use transporter tool to Move the users from BES full version 5.0.3 to BES express 5.0.3.. If this true then we cannot use BES express as middle man during the migration

There is a 100 user limit for transfer at one time.

How many users do you have?
