Default Impossible to deploy application with BES 5.0 SP3 for Domino

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

My BES infrastructure is 4 BES server with 2 nodes Active/Passive mode and 2 BAS & 2 BB router in DMZ.

I configured a software configuration to push IBM Lotus sametime client and modify job schedule setting to put the delay at 1 minute.

Then I associated the software configuration to a group.

My Problem is that the application is never push to devices and in the deployment job task, I never see tasks with application Type, only IT policy (I think usually you always have an IT policy task followed by an application task)

I checked device.xml and vendor.xml files and they are up to date. I checked device.xml and vendor.xml column in GlobalSetting table on the sql database and they are up to date to. The 2 bas Server can access to the followed URL :

blackberry.com/Desktop/Download/XML/Device.xml
blackberry.com/Desktop/Download/XML/Vendor.xml

The problem is the same for another application like google map.

The Disable third party applications download policy is not activate, and it's the same for user with a specific It policiy or with the default policy.

I'm running out of imagination to resolve this problem.

Someone does have an idea or someone have the same problem?

Sorry for my english and i thank you in advance.

Jp

You have to check the "Resolved Apps" for a particular user to find the reason why it is not pushed.

First of all, Thank you for your answer.

Can you tell me where can I find the "view resolved Apps" for a specific user please?

Manage Users > View user (user name) > Software configuration > View resolved applications

If nothing is listed there, go to

"Other configured applications"

If your application is listed there, click on the "eye" icon to find the reasons for not resolving. Most common reasons are "Required modules not found" or "Not compatible with device".

So I click on Manage users, search for the use then click on his name.
Then I clicked on the Software configuration tab, I can see the software configuration that i'm trying to push but I have no other things in this menu except:

Edit User
Back to search
Back to previous search results

I don't have Other configured Applications.

Am i not in the good menu?

You should see "View resolved applications" just in the area where you see "Edit user". We are on BES for Exchange, but I guess it should look the same for Notes.

Also see this excerpt from the manual:

If you cannot see the "View Resolved Applications", that means the user is not assigned any software yet. Once you added an application, you will see the link.

See picture.
