| | Unable to add newly registered users in BES

We are currently running BES 5.0.1 with Domino 8.5.2 in our environment.
Recently we had this issue where in we are not able to add users. Its not that we are not able to add any users, users who have been recently registered under Domino seem to be not showing up in BES. Old users show up fine and we are able to add them.
When trying to search for the users, the error message "The BlackBerry Administration Service cannot find the records you were looking for. Verify the search criteria you specified and try again". We tried different scenarios of looking up the user but the error persists.
When trying refreshing the user list from company directory without any luck. When trying to import the users the error "The operation could not be completed" comes up.
A look at the BES logs, the Mail store log has the following error entries - "MailStoreDomino::SetMailDomain - Error Determinig Address book file name/path with reason - Operation stopped at your request.
MailStoreDomino::RefreshAddressLookupEntries - Address book initialization failed. No attempt made to update the MSAddresses table for domain
Followed the relevent KB articles and made sure the MailServer filed in the notes.ini is listed correctly and made sure the DNS verifies the FQDN properly.
The names.nsf is in sync and we have run maintenance against it without any luck.
We have also restarted the BES & Domino services along with OS without any luck.
Currently we are out of options for any further trouble shooting.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
