I am trying to activate the first blackberry using the web desktop manager logged in as the user who will use the blackberry however after the device is detected I see a red error stating:

The BlackBerry Web Desktop Manager is unable to complete this action. Please contact your administrator for more information.

your help is appreciated !

Which browser are you using? I'm guessing this has something to do with Security Settings. The webconsole URL should be a trusted site.
