Default Unable to start BES Controller service

Please Login to Remove!

I'm pretty new to BES, I'm currently working at a firm that had one previously setup. It seems to be haphazardly setup in the first place, and we only have 4 users on it. I've been able to manage in terms of fixing service book and other issues, but I'm sitting on a problem that I'm unable to solve.

Sometimes the server would stop communicating with the handhelds, and I've found that restarting the dispatcher service would fix this. This morning I found that it had last communicated with the handhelds last night, and so I restarted the service, but nothing changed. So I restarted all the running services, but now the Blackberry Controller service will not start, giving me error code 5003. Here is the log entry for the controller when it attempts to start.

Code:
[50000] (01/31 11:04:16):{0x1288} Starting BlackBerry Controller Version 4.0.0.110
[30000] (01/31 11:04:16):{0x1288} Found Dispatcher for server SCHAFFERLAX as 'BlackBerry Dispatcher' at \\127.0.0.1, PID=4092
[30000] (01/31 11:04:16):{0x1288} 'SCHAFFERLAX': controlling 1 agents (1)
[30000] (01/31 11:04:16):{0x1288} [CFG] Controller will restart BES Agent(s) on crash
[30000] (01/31 11:04:16):{0x1288} [CFG] Controller will restart Dispatcher(s) on crash
[30000] (01/31 11:04:16):{0x1288} [CFG] Controller will wait for WaitCount = 6 to restart BES Agent(s) on hung threads
[30000] (01/31 11:04:16):{0x1288} [CFG] The number of BES Agent restarts is limited to 10 times per 24 hours
[20000] (01/31 11:04:16):{0x1288} [CFG] Controller won't generate userdump files. Userdump.exe not found in system folder.
[20000] (01/31 11:04:16):{0x1288} LogReceiver: Failed to bind a socket
[10000] (01/31 11:04:16):{0x1288} Could not start the syslog receiver subsystem, exiting...
[50000] (01/31 11:04:16):{0x1288} Stopping BlackBerry Agent Controller
[30000] (01/31 11:04:16):{0x1288} Shutdown complete
My next action would be to restart, but they installed BES on the primary domain controller, and doing so in the middle of the day will cause more of a headache for the entire firm. Any suggestions?

First thing I would do (after temporarily fixing this issue) is try to locate some piece of hardware (maybe a high desktop- P4, 512MB, 60GB HD...etc) that you can migrate/move the current BES environment. It should be very simple since it's only 4 users.
The following 2 link provides some explaination :

However you need to review some additional docs for future reference:

I've already started formatting a machine just for that

It's pretty sad what the people did before me. The primary domain controller is an old Compaq Netserver with a single 900mhz Pentium 3 and 512 mb ram. I was wondering how much load the BES software took, looks like it's quite a bit.

You mention a temproary solution, what would that be? Using the desktop forwarding agent for now?

Edit: Sorry, didn't read the links you gave until after I posted. I swear I searched for error 5003 on the RIM site. I'll go ahead and try some of the fixes.
