Default Moving BESE 5.0.3 from server 2003 to 2008 R2

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All,

We are planning to move existing BESE for one of our clients from server 2003 to server 2008 R2.

They are currently running BlackBerry enterprise server express for MS Exchange 5.0.3 (Bundle 12)

I have come across the article KB12304-How to migrate the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to new hardware using a second SRP (cant post url because of 15 posts restriction)

Just want to make sure if its the right one for this kinda move?

Thanks all

It depends if you want to move all user in one go (big bang), or if you want to do a phased migration.

You would only need the transporter tool if you start off with a fresh DB on the new server. If you use the existing DB on the new server, you don't need the transporter tool.
