Exclamation Default settings for allowing multiple address books in BES

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

We have BES Express v 5.0.3 (Exchange Server 2010). Our users have been migrated from GroupWise to Exchange. A number of our BES (executive/VIP) users have multiple address books come over from GW (i.e. Frequent Contacts and few other personal address books).

By default, not all these 'Private contact folders' are shown in the BB device. Only contacts from the default 'Contacts' are shown. I have figured out how to get the other Address Books/contact folders to show:

Page 246 on "Blackberry Enterprise Server Express for Microsoft Exchange Administration Guide":
"Control which personal mail folders a user can synchronize with a BlackBerry device" Section.

However this means I need to go into each of my BES users and tick the additional contact folders as explained in the admin guide.

My question is: Where is the setting to enable/check all of these private contact folders by default - instead of doing this for individual users? This will save a lot of headache from admins especially when users create new contact folders later...

Any advice on this will be great.

Thanks in advance.

Jay.

Default Re: Default settings for allowing multiple address books in BES

You can't.

But if users create new folders as sub-folders of the standard contact folder, they will get synced as well.

If they create a contact folder on mailbox level it will not get synced (you would have to tick that manually to get it to sync).
