Default Unable to Activate after Outage

Please Login to Remove!

Since service has been restored all current Blackberry users are able to send and receive but we are unable to activate any new users.

Any one else experiencing this?

I am on BES 5.0.3 and I have rebooted my Servers.

Sorry, I've not had any issues here.

What happens when you try to activate a device? Is this affecting ALL new users or just some?

It is a BESAdmin rite of passage to go through the gauntlet of correcting the right BES data plan with your carrier.

Under Manage Connections on the device (OS 5 and higher), there's a services status which tells if connected to the data network.

For BES dataplan testing.

All of the users have the proper plan. We have a interesting setup in my company and they are coming off of a working BES Server.

Here is a quick run down.

2 Domains A & B migrating to Domain C

A has been migrated successfully.

B had mailboxes switched. Remove all of B from their BES.

Add new users to C's BES.

Attempt OTA and activate from Desktop Manager.

ETP e-mail never shows up in inbox. Verified that Exchange 2010's TMG and ForeFront are not blocking e-mails.

TL;DR

Users are coming from working BES and Mailbox is not recieving ETP e-mail. Users on BES are working fine.

Something has definitely changed on the RIM network. we only have 75 users and it used to take an average of 15 minutes to actiavte/ or wipe and reactivate a blackberry. Now it takes hours. consistently. nothing on our BES server has changed. all the dataplans remain unchanged. I've heard grumblings elsewhere that RIM is doing this on purposse while they try to figure out what really caused the outage!

Our activations still take 15-20 minutes, same as before the outage. So I am not sure if it is really RIM, could still be something on your side. I would check the logs.
