Default restrict access global address list

Please Login to Remove!

We are hosting exchange for several of our clients.
Now we want to implement BES also and are testing it.

The poblem I'm facing now is that users of different clients can see all the contacts in the global address list (all our clients!). We work woth several address lists in exchange and that is working ok.

It probably has something to do with the fact that address lookups are done by the BES Service account. (that need full access to the GAL).

Is there a solution for this problem ?

Without 4.1 the solution is to Disable Address Lookup for all users.

Has the solution been implemented in 4.1? According to:
http://www.blackberry.com/knowledgec...45294&vernum=0

you still have to disable it fully.

With 4.1. you can add the HostedServer Dword entry to the registry, it works fine. These are the instructions from the Admin Guide.

Enable addresses from the same company to display when users look up addresses on BlackBerry devices
1.Verify that the users in the same organization have the same name in the Company field in their address profile on the messaging server.
2.At the command prompt, browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Research In Motion\BlackBerry Enterprise Server\Agents.
3.Right-click Agents. Click New > DWORD Value.
4.Type HostedServer.
5.Double-click the new value.
6.In the Value data field, type 1.
7.Click OK.
8.On the computer on which the BlackBerry Enterprise Server is installed, in the Services window, restart the BlackBerry Controller service.
