The BES Express License has been installed successfully, but when we go to activate the BES Console by clicking thru the Startup Menu > All Programs > BlackBerry Administration Service, we are getting a http error 3443 on Windows Explorer. Can you provide a solution to correct the error message?

the admin console listens on port 3443 for https, and 18180 for http.
sounds strange the the error is also 3443.

in the windows services, is the BAS-NCC and the BAS service running ?
if the https port does not work, try the http port:
http://dns.name.of.server:18180/webconsole/login

Did you assing the BAS server different ports then the default values ?

I know SBS might use outside DNS first and cause a lot of headaches.

The BES Express v5.0.1 is the installed version. When attempting to start the BlackBerry Administration Service, it is attempting to connect thru the Service Port https 3443. The http port is 18180.

If the guess of knottyrope is correct, or if DNS is not working well,
you might have more luck, if you, instead opening the shortcut you have in the startmenu,
just open an internet-explorer window, and, enter:
https://ip.addr.of.srv:3443/webconsole/login
or
http://ip.addr.or.srv:18110/webconsole/login
