Default Suddenly getting this error, "Desktop email program was unable to submit message"

Please Login to Remove!

And according to this link, it has 6 causes. My users can send emails to other company employee's but cannot email to external addresses.

KB04422-A Red X appears in the message list after attempting to send an email message from the BlackBerry smartphone with an error "Desktop email program was unable to submit message"

However, I've gone through all 6 and none are incorrect!

the Router is working, the mailboxes are not full, the sendas is being inherited at the domain level , throttling policy is set and LDAP isn't failing!

Running BES 5.0 sp3(I know, a few behind, I'll be updating tonight), with Exchange 2010 sp2.

I'm thinking about doing the fix for LDAP to bypass MAPI and use LDAP for queries.. is this a good idea?

this can do similar
KB17325-Issues with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server when using a Windows Server 2008 Global Catalog Server - NSPI Bind Limit exceeded

Note: For this issue the BlackBerry smartphone will get a red x when sending an email to an external domain but will be able to send internally.

Thanks Knottyrope, appreciated as always.

we checked the NSPI limit on the GCS and it's at 1,000 and the throttling policy is set correctly.. Guess it's time to call RIM! :(

1000 is not enough. Set it to 2,000.

well, you never said how many users on your BES either

Please post the relevant snippet from your MAGT log. If it has worked before and suddenly stopped, I would not do the LDAP fix. I'd rather find the root cause and get it working again with the same configuration.

Can you do lookups of addresses in the GAL?

We normally have these problems after global catalog servers or Exchange servers have been rebooted. A reboot of BES normally clears that issue.

Can't lookup names in GAL, and we rebooted the BES at least 2x times yesterday..

let me get you the MAGT logs.

EDIT: called RIM, seems the magical "recreate the mapi profile" seemed to do the trick.
