help with new bes 5 server hi there i need some help... ive used the search function and google but still havent found what im looking for. a while ago i built a bes 5 server to go with our new exchange 2010 platform. this was derailed for a while but i inhstalled bes anyway. now 2010 is alive and in pilot phase and im trying to get users working. so ive migrated my account from bes 4 to 5 and am at "activation stage" this keeps failing/retrying etc and im unsure if this is because the exchange server name has changed since the initial derailed project. the activation keeps retrying, i see the edt email in my inbox on my pc but nothing ever reaches the device. ive tried wireless and ota but neither works. followed rim guide for setup and configured send as permissions etc etc but it still aint working and i just dont know why |
Re: help with new bes 5 server ok where do i check to see where the activation is failing? |
Re: help with new bes 5 server Perhaps if you didn't write in "text speak" and used some capitalization and good sentence structure, our members would read your post and respond. |
Re: help with new bes 5 server i thought my initial post was very eloquent. no lols or smiley faces but thanks for taking the time to write that |
Re: help with new bes 5 server no txt spk seen by me The ETP is not being processed and usually is permissions related. hard part is understanding the BASAdmin account for a beginner. What is the BESAdmin service account and why does ... - BlackBerry Support Community Forums |
Re: help with new bes 5 server hi knottyrope thanks for the link iemstest was useful. i cannot resolve the bes admin account using the vip of the cas array i created even though it is pingable. i can however resolve legacy 2003 names using mailboxes that still exist on our old server. is this a cdo/mapi problem relating to exchange 2010? all permissions are applied correctly including view only admin, send as , receive as, and have added the throttling policy. |
Re: help with new bes 5 server Are you using the latest version of MAPI? KB04912-How to verify CDO.dll file registration and location on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server |
