I have seen many posts that reference the same query but couldnt find a clear-cut answer or way forward.
We have SQL mirroring in place (without witness), all works fine (failover etc.)
But in a scenario where an upgrade is done on the DB, do we have to break the mirror, upgrade active node/db, backup the DB, restore full to mirror DB and recreate the Mirror ? Or as the RIM guide says (Knowledge Sharing - Requirements for database mirrong for BES 5.0 SP2 HA
) or mentioned in other posts, upgrade Active node/DB, failover and upgrade the other Node ?
Personally I feel the RIM option may not work and the 1st option is the safest, but what interested to know what others have tried and tested ?
