Hi All,

we have a BES 4.1.6 installation with Exchange 2007.
We have about 5000 contacts in the address book but only about 1200 have company cell phone numbers.
We would like to have those users IN the BB device address book so that if a call is received the number is "matched" to the user name and it's shown in the call.

Is that possible with 4.1.6? How can be achieved?

This is what we do.

Not the best solution but it works very well offline outlook, BB smart phones and windows um mobile things


This also teaches the user how to better manage their contacts via categories.

Also we have outlook do lookups in the personell list (copy to favorites and enable address book) and not use GAL.
HR can manage it easier from a public folder too as an added bonus.


How users update:
go to contacts
View arrange by category
Delete catagory personnel list

Goto public folders/personnel list
highlight first user
press ctrl a
Drag drop into contact folder

is this easy enough?



or buy License for CodeTwo Exchange Sync 2.x to sync a folder and users wont have to do a thing

that does work well but if you want them in outlook also the user still needs to sync them some how. we do this now for most of the BB users and some prefer a manual sync. we use codetwo for EAS devices and takes away the burden of calls of where is the new info
