Default BES on desktop?

Can BES be run off of a desktop using Windows XP Pro SP2?

Well it depends....are you on a tight budget or no budget?

Well I have Microsoft Small Business Server Pro.. I have set that up. I only have one server, which has SBS on it. I have tried installing it on there but have problems with the databases not being able to connect. Not sure what else I need to do to get that running, so I thought that I have a computer with XP Pro that is never really used that I could put it on. I don't know enough about SQL to troubleshoot what the problems are there with it.

not recommended. I've done it in a pinch, but I really would not recommend it.

Ok...you could install SQL on the desktop, it's not that difficult.
However here's a link to get you started with SBS..since you didn't say what platfrom....

Thanks, I am using Microsoft Windows Server SP1 for Small Business Server. It has SQl, exchange all built in.
