BES 5.0.3
SQL clustered (physical)
32 BES servers (virtualized)
3 BAS servers (virtualized)

So we have been having BAS issues over the past month looking at the database it is 34GB which seems very big to me. I have just taken this over because I take care of the VMware/Exchange. I have been hands off BES until now.

What I see is the ping rate for BAS to SQL jump up to about 15MS when BAS does not work. Failover the SQL cluster and the ping rate drops.

I'm thinking we need to defrag the DB...any other ideas?

Seems high. How many BES users in total?

34 gig is not normal. mine is about 3 meg per user
