Default Activation Issues

Please Login to Remove!

We are using 4.0 with mostly 7520 handhelds. We have about 25 users and had no problems until recently. We have two users both with 7520 that will not activate.

It says
Activating
Verifying Encryption
Encryption Verfie
Waiting for services

and just sits there.

Any ideas?

Check if the 2 users can receive email from exernal (blackberry.net) and that there no agents/rules running in incomming mail.
Try it again. Still problem, then wipe the devices, remove the user from the BES, and Add again. Try again.

Regards,
Bob

I am having almost the same problem. I have two users that i can not get the handhelds to activate. I try enterprise avtivate and it just sits there on activating. have done everything previously mentioned and no help. I can not send a pin to pin msg or register msg. Have spent over 12 hours on the phone with nextel/BB support and no one knows what is going on. they finally gave up and forwarded the ticket to the engineers (another 5 day wait). any ideas?

Nextel has not activated the device for BlackBerry service. Call Nextel, you may have to go through several layers of support to find someone who can activate it. From personal experience only the carrier can activate the BlackBerry service, RIM cannot.
