Identify User running over BES
 

Hi,

is it possible to identify a user on a webserver who runs over a blackberry server. the idea is that the blackberry server acts as a proxy and attaches certain parameters when the user calls a specific website.

So basically you want to track your users' web usage?

just because they are on BES does not mean the user used BES to get to the site, they might have used wifi, carrier via APN or BIS.

I dont think there is a marker of any type to let you know.

basically i want just allow certain users to call the web service without a login on my web server. if the bb server could send some user identification, i could check on that..

for an external site I dont think you can do that

For a site on your LAN you can do that
