BES 5.0.3 (exchange) upgrading Server 2008 R2 to SP1
 

Hi, just wondering if people have successfully upgraded Server 2008 R2 to SP1 on a BES?

I've seen older threads discussing, and potential pitfalls. Apparently its supported but not "recommended" on the matrix: http://us.blackberry.com/content/dam...sept_20_12.pdf

Also a possible issue with BAS service, but there's a workaround (KB26571) for it too: KB26571-BlackBerry Monitoring Service does not start after upgrade to Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1

anyone been down this road already? Thanks!

I would make a new VM (if possible) and install BES in HA and fail over to new BES install.

if not possible then set some down time to apply SP1 and have a good backup of BES
